Article 16 of the Technical regulations establishes that when a CASS insured person suffers an accident caused by a third party, CASS can demand that the third party pays all expenses generated in accordance with the legislation, including the "death capital sum" that is to be paid to the inheritors of a fatal accident victim.
The amount the victim of an accident receives as a pension for life or temporarily is capitalised being entirely paid by the responsible third party.
