Conditions

The deceased must have 60 monthly quotas.

The orphan must be under 18 years old or be between 18 and 25 years old and be studying at a recognised place of teaching and not have any regular employment.

How to apply for the pension?

Go in person to the Pensions Department (2nd floor).

Take the following documents

• Passport or identity document (original) of the applicant and of the deceased
• Healthcare card of applicant and of the deceased
• Bank standing order
• Death certificate
• Family book and/or birth certificate

If you live in Spain, France or Portugal (countries with agreements), you must proceed with the request at the Social Security office of your place of residence

If you are unable to apply in person you may authorize another person.

Condicions per a sol·licitar una pensió d'orfenesa

Els orfes entre 18 i 25 anys han d'acreditar mitjançant un certificat, emès pel ministeri d'educació o d'ensenyament superior, que cursen estudis d'ensenyament superior.

S'assimilen  a estudis d'ensanyament superior els de formació professional o formació professional superior i els que requereixen l'escolariatzació en centres educatius especials de nivell preobligatori o postobligatori.

Aquest certificat s'ha d'aportar a la CASS cada any a l'inici del curs escolar mentre es cursin estudis i es compleixin les condicions establertes en la Llei 17/2008, del 3 d'octubre, de la seguretat social, article 189.2. 

Els orfes discapacitats que tenen entre 18 i 25 anys i no perceben la pensió de solidaritat prevista a la Llei de garantia dels drets de les persones amb discapacitat o una pensió derivada de la situació de discapacitat fora d'Andorra.

Orphans aged between 18 and 25 years old must present a certificate issued by the appropriate Ministry certifying they are studying at a recognised teaching centre.

This certificate must be brought to CASS every year at the start of the school year.

Has the deceased person worked in Spain, France or Portugal (countries with agreements?

Take the following documents

• Passport or identity document (original) of the applicant and also of the deceased
• As many documents as possible of the deceased (affiliation card, working-life report, death certificate, family book...)
• Pension payment will be paid by the foreign country with agreements.

If you are unable to come in person you can authorize someone to apply for your pension on your behalf in one of the foreign countries with agreements.
